Feel empowered & find yourself.

Recently, you’ve felt more lost and alone than ever.

Life keeps changing course and you’re not sure how to navigate anymore—or if you even have the energy to try. You don’t really know what direction you’re supposed to be going anyway, or if there’s anything good waiting for you on the path ahead.

The people you’ve relied on in the past have only disappointed you, and you worry that maybe everything that’s gone wrong has been your fault.

At this point, you have far more questions than answers. You’ve been through a lot, and now feel completely untethered from who you are and what your real purpose is in life.

Maybe you’ve been struggling with…

  • Feelings of guilt or shame about something you’ve experienced

  • Overwhelming stress or anxiety—at work, at home, and in your social life

  • Finding your way through a major life change—like a breakup or divorce, career change, becoming a parent or entering a new stage of parenthood, or immigrating to a new country

  • Grief over the loss of a loved one

  • Feelings of depression, or being unable to find any joy or happiness no matter what you do

  • Flashbacks or other issues related to traumatic events in your past

Hello, I’m Amira.

I believe in your ability to overcome this.

And I’d be honored to support you through it. I want you to know that what you’re feeling is completely okay and understandable—there’s no need to be ashamed. In therapy with me, you’ll never have to worry about being judged. Our sessions are always a safe space where you can share as much or as little as you’d like—after all, this is your story to tell.

I’ve worked with women from many different cultures and backgrounds, and understand how hard it can be to focus on the present or think about the future when you’re still trying to piece together what’s happened in the past. I take a trauma-informed approach to therapy, which means I’ll always listen and react with compassion, and you’ll be in control of the topics and pace of our work.

Together, we can work to process what you’ve been through, and then begin to look at and work on breaking the cycles in your life that are making you feel stuck or hopeless. I want to help you discover your truest self and connect to your core values, so that you’ll have an inner compass to look to when you’re feeling lost.

My hope is that, through the work we’ll do together, you’ll feel more confident in who you are, have the tools to communicate what you want and need, be more resilient against life’s challenges, and really believe that you deserve joy and love in your life.

Trauma

When you’ve experienced something traumatic, it can be difficult not to feel controlled by your past. In therapy, we can work through what’s happened and build skills that will help you live your life again—not just survive it.

Anxiety & Change

Going through major changes can leave you feeling unsure, on-edge, and afraid of the future. Therapy can provide the support you need to navigate these changes and cultivate more calm in your day-to-day life.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is an evidence-based method that helps the brain heal from traumatic experiences. If you’re living with flashbacks, nightmares, depression, or anxiety that stem from something in your past, EMDR may be able to help.

You’re not alone in this.

Together, we can find a way forward.
